☀️ Get $120 for Groceries with SUN Bucks!
We want to make sure you don’t miss out on SUN Bucks, a program that provides $120 per eligible child to buy groceries this summer! These funds are loaded onto an EBT card and can be used at most grocery stores and farmers' markets.
Does my child get it automatically?
Many students will receive their card in the mail automatically starting in June 2026. Your child is likely already signed up if:

They receive CalFresh or CalWORKs.

They receive Medi-Cal, and your household income is at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level.

They are identified by the school as foster, homeless, migrant, or runaway.
Who needs to apply?
If you aren't in the categories above, you may still be eligible! You must apply by August 31, 2026, if your child:

Receives Medi-Cal, but your income isn't confirmed at or below 185% of the FPL.

Is in Foster Care or the Adoption Assistance Program.

Receives SSI/SSP or Kin-GAP.

Not sure? Apply anyway! It’s better to apply and find out than to miss out.
How to Apply

Print and fill out the form below, or request a printed copy of the registration form from your school office.

Submit the form to the school: Return the completed form directly to the school office (not the state) by August 31, 2026.
Important Reminders

Expiration: SUN Bucks expire 122 days after they are loaded onto the card. Use them before you lose them!

Immigration Status: Participating in SUN Bucks does not affect your or your family's immigration status.

Update your address: Make sure the school has your current mailing address so your card arrives safely!
