Staff Spotlight ~ Amber Daoro

Amber Daoro, the Health Aide at Linell K. Walker Elementary School and Toddy Thomas Middle School, is one of our spotlight employees. Amber is new to education and our district this year, bringing a strong background in healthcare, having previously worked in a long-term living facility before transitioning to our schools.
Principal Helen Nelson shares, “Amber is doing a wonderful job as the health aide at Walker. She handles student crises calmly, showing kindness and compassion to all she meets. She helps out in other ways when needed and has an infectious positive attitude.” Her steady presence and willingness to support the campus in any way needed help make our schools a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Amber works across both campuses to support students' overall well-being and loves seeing them thrive. She says, “I love being able to support the kids and be somebody that they trust, can come to talk, and help them with anything they need! I really love all the relationships I have built with many of the kiddos and have been able to help them be successful.” Her care helps students feel supported mentally and physically, so they can achieve educational success.
When she isn't assisting students, Amber loves to read and garden. A fun fact about Amber is that she also loves to bake, specifically creating all kinds of breads and desserts.
We appreciate Amber’s kindness, compassion, and quick connections with students. We are grateful to have her in our district!
