Kylee Teasley, the secretary at Toddy Thomas Middle School, is one of our Spotlight Employees. Kylee’s career in education began at 18, when she worked as an aide at Rainbow Junction Children's Center here in Fortuna. She previously served as a District Secretary at Loleta Union Elementary School before joining our district eight months ago.

Principal Kent Chapman shares, “Kylee is very proactive and has done an amazing job stepping into our head secretary role. She greets everyone kindly and helps out our staff in numerous ways. She is quick to learn new tasks and doesn’t hesitate to seek help when needed. Everyone appreciates everything she has done for Toddy Thomas.” Her proactive approach and welcoming attitude help keep the school office running smoothly.

Throughout her career, Kylee has worked as a Community Schools Assistant, a Teacher's Aide, and a secretary, which has given her a deep appreciation for school operations. She says, “I like being the center of the web for students, parents, teachers, staff, and admin. You really get to see the bigger picture of a school system and how everyone can work together to do what's best for the kids.”

Outside of work, Kylee is a mother to a beautiful baby girl and is looking forward to getting married this August. A fun fact about Kylee is that she is also a Certified Massage Therapist.

Kylee’s kindness, quick problem-solving, and dedication to supporting everyone who walks through the door make her part of the Toddy Thomas team. We are grateful to have her in our district!
