Staff Spotlight ~ Jeweline Huddleston

We would like to highlight Jeweline Huddleston, a Math Intervention teacher for 1st through 4th grades at Norman G. Ambrosini Elementary School. Jeweline has worked in education for over three decades, beginning her career after graduating from Humboldt State University with her teaching credential in 1994. She joined the Fortuna Elementary School District in 1996 and spent 26 years at South Fortuna/Walker Elementary before moving to Ambrosini four years ago. Throughout her time in the district, she has taught fourth, third, and second grades, giving her a deep understanding of primary education.
Principal Angela Shuetzle shares, “Jeweline is always looking for new ways to teach math to students. She cares deeply about the success of each of her RtI students. She is also always willing to step in wherever she is needed on campus to support not only our students but also our staff to ensure a positive school climate.” Her supportive nature and willingness to jump in wherever needed help make Ambrosini a welcoming place for everyone.
Jeweline focuses on foundational math skills and loves seeing her students find joy in learning. She says, “What I like best are the students and getting to know them. I like watching their excitement as they learn and gain confidence in their math skills.” Her encouragement helps students build resilience and confidence both in her classroom and beyond.
A fun fact about Jeweline is that she is a big sports fan, and you can always find her rooting for the San Francisco 49ers.
Jeweline’s positivity, dedication, and strong connections with students are making a lasting impact on the students at Ambrosini Elementary School.
