Staff Spotlight ~ Rebecca Senestraro

Rebecca “Becci” Senestraro is a Paraprofessional at Fortuna Middle School and one of this trimester’s Spotlight Employees. Becci has dedicated the past 25 years to supporting students in the Fortuna School District, bringing a wealth of experience and care to our campus communities.
Principal Saul Lewis shares, “Becci is a very reliable and integral part of our SDC program. She works well with the SDC team to ensure students stay focused and complete their tasks. Becci's attention to detail and communication skills help keep the FMS staff and administration informed about the needs of the students she works with.” Her reliability and strong communication play a vital role in keeping our team connected and supported.
Throughout her quarter-century with the district, Becci has worked at Walker Elementary, Toddy Thomas, and FMS, helping students across nearly every grade level, from kindergarten through eighth grade. She says, “I love when you get to witness the 'aha!' moments! You get to watch them become independent and help create a positive environment where students feel safe to learn and grow. That is why I love my job!”
Becci has deep roots in the community, having attended grade school at Toddy Thomas and graduated from Fortuna High School. Before starting her family and eventually transitioning into education, she attended Fredrick’s and Charles Beauty College and worked for many years as a licensed Cosmetologist. A fun fact about Becci is that she is still a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, and outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her two daughters and her two grandsons.
Becci’s steady dedication, collaborative spirit, and joy in student success make her a standout part of the FMS team. We are grateful to have her in our district!
